NFC Go - Use cases

With the increasing number of NFC-enabled phones there will also be many phones returned to the mobile network operator or mobile phone manufacturer with the complaint "NFC not working". In this case it is important to find out which part of the mobile is not working, must be repaired or exchanged. Staff working in shops, in manufacturers' repair centres or within customer support departments need a test tool that provides some quick "does-it-work" tests. NFC Go offers such tests for checking the reader/writer mode functionality.

NFC Go - Analogue test: NFC field check

Using this smart NFC field detector is simple. 

It has the format and size of a Smart Card equipped with a red LED.

You just have to put it close enough to the device under test, which can be a NFC-enabled phone, a NFC reader or any other NFC-enabled device.

The glowing LED will indicate a proper NFC field.
As the intensity of the red LED depends on the strength of the registered RF field, the "sweet spot" of the NFC antenna can be easily determined.

NFC Go - Logical test: NFC protocol check

NFC Go is also able to emulate an NFC tag. If there is a properly running NFC communication, the data contained in this tag will be read automatically when presented to the DUT and then shown on its display. The data included in the NFC tag as well as the artwork printed on it can be personalized. You can order the tag programmed with, for example, the URL of your company, your business card information or any other text of your choice.
