Certification & Standardization

Certifcation according to global test standards is required whenever a technical product is going to be launched. Only a common language and a set of expectations enable interoperability between systems and/or devices. That's why we at COMPRION are actively involved in all important standardization bodies & certification associations. Being close to the standard-setting processes allows us to implement all changes directly into our solution.

About

SIMalliance

SIMalliance is the global industry association of the world's leading SIM card manufacturers. The association supports the creation, deployment, and management of secure mobile services. SIMalliance promotes the essential role of the secure element in delivering secure mobile applications and services across all devices that can access wireless networks.

Bringing Know-How & Expertise to SIMalliance Testing

Since 2010, COMPRION has been the only test equipment provider acting as a strategic partner of the SIMalliance. We at COMPRION are actively involved in working groups and contribute to the specification work and redaction of interoperability guidelines issued by SIMalliance. Thus, we can integrate new technical requirements promptly into our test tools always conforming to the latest standards and technical requirements. This way we are able to anticipate our customers' needs.

To drive the progress of the eUICC, COMPRION has taken the leadership of the SIMalliance eUICC Test Sub Working Group. Its goal is the creation of a new specification – the SIMalliance eUICC Profile Package: Interoperable Format – Test Specification. This test specification and the standardization of a global binding format for profiles is one important step into the direction of an exchangeable eUICC content that works on different eUICC platforms.

COMPRION's OMAPI Test Bench – for compliancy verification with SIMalliance

The SIMalliance Open Mobile API specifies how mobile applications may access different SEs in the mobile device, such as the UICC or an embedded SE. This API is implemented by the vast majority of current Android smartphones.

A correct integration of the API across handsets is essential to ensure the interoperability of SE-based mobile applications across different devices. That is why the OMAPI test specification is referenced by the GSMA NFC Handset Testbook.
