In the eUICC ecosystem, we do not only see card and device tests but also a variety of entities under test, for example, servers and apps. All these entities need to be interconnected making the communication work reliably. So, it’s all about connectivity.
That’s why the Card Test Center software is renamed to Connectivity Test Center starting with the current release 3.0.
The new Connectivity Test Center supports “readerless” tests, which means pure software tests that do not require a device such as a COMPRION Spectro 2 or a PC/SC card reader. Since pure software tests do not provide the same kind of monitoring data or APDU logs as card or device tests, Connectivity Test Center offers plug-in support for custom views. The new custom views integrate a large variety of logging data provided by the test cases such as IP or network simulator communication.
It goes without saying that the former card test and monitoring features will remain fully functional.
