COMPRION EMVCo PCD Digital Test Solution Qualified for EMVCo 3.2a

COMPRION has successfully achieved EMVCo qualification for its PCD Digital Test Solution in accordance with the latest EMVCo 3.2a specification. This qualification confirms that the solution meets the updated EMVCo requirements, providing terminal manufacturers and test laboratories with a reliable tool to ensure payment terminal compliance.

The EMVCo 3.2a specification introduces several updates:
•    New test cases supporting polling devices with presence check or suspend behavior
•    Updates and enhancements to existing test cases
•    Specification corrections

In the context of EMVCo PCD (Proximity Coupling Device), polling devices are payment terminals or other contactless readers that regularly check whether a contactless card or mobile payment device (e.g., an NFC-enabled smartphone) is within range. With the EMVCo 3.2a specification, new test cases have been introduced to verify the behavior of such devices regarding presence check (detecting whether a contactless payment device is within range) and suspend behavior (temporarily pausing communication to save energy).

With this latest qualification, COMPRION continues its commitment to EMVCo testing. As a trusted provider of conformance testing tools, COMPRION helps customers seamlessly adapt to evolving EMVCo requirements.
