AIM-D is a European subchapter of AIM, a global trade association for the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry. “As an associate member, we can actively contribute to working groups dealing with NFC (Near Field Communication), RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification), and smart-card-related issues. Thus, we are able to develop and promote new technologies, standards, and guidelines in these fields. Furthermore, we use the opportunity to network and team up with other experts in the industry to jointly advance new projects,” says Ralph Kamp, Product Manager for NFC Test Solutions at COMPRION.
Peter Altes, Managing Director at AIM-D, has welcomed COMPRION very warmly as a new member and mentioned, “that it is a great opportunity for the association and its members to have COMPRION as an expert for NFC and NFC Test Solutions on board – especially ahead the background that NFC markets will develop also in the field of industrial applications.”
According to AIM-D, the organization comprises over 120 members in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland including manufacturers, consultants, system integrators, test equipment vendors, and users involved in technologies that include barcode, RFID, cards, biometrics, and RFDC.
