COMPRION now also offers a test eSIM (test eUICC) for M2M. With its test keys and test certificates, it allows the tester to set up an RSP test infrastructure. It can be used for functional testing of the Subscription Managers (SM-DP and SM-SR), verification of SIMalliance profile definitions and for testing the M2M device interoperability.
In the future, we will see more and more M2M devices with an eSIM. To ensure that switching to another MNO and the related Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) work reliably, COMPRION is introducing a test eSIM (also known as test eUICC) for the M2M architecture. This enables mobile network operators and infrastructure suppliers to test the interoperability of the included components in the eUICC M2M environment during product development and integration.
Running RSP functions is protected by credentials that are normally not known to the user. As the COMPRION Test eUICC M2M is personalized with test certificates and test keys, it allows the tester to set up an RSP test infrastructure. This means that defined procedures for the remote provisioning and management of the embedded UICC (eUICC) can be executed in a test environment. The COMPRION Test eUICC M2M can be used for the following tasks:
The Test eUICC M2M comes with a preloaded COMPRION test profile that has been created in accordance with COMPRION’s longtime experience with test SIMs and test USIMs. The profile includes the 3G test algorithm. The file structure of the profile can be scanned and updated via Remote File Management (RFM). The necessary keys are provided. Moreover, different profiles can be loaded to the card for testing purposes by means of the respective eUICC standard procedures. The Test eUICC M2M is removable and comes in the 3FF format (mini-UICC).
The test eUICC for M2M is already the second test eSIM in the COMPRION test card portfolio. Earlier this year, COMPRION already introduced a test eUICC for consumer devices.
