COMPRION/Stollmann Automation Wins WIMA NFC MONACO 2013 Competition

The recently released DTA automation for NFC Forum test cases has won in the "Best Testing Solution" category and could convince the jury through its high innovation and usability level.

The well-established WIMA NFC MONACO 2013 Competition is designed to bring to the forefront the latest innovative applications, solutions and hardware through multi-track vertical categories. As the winner of the category “Best Testing Solution”, COMPRION presented the solution in the "WIMA NFC Monaco Competition Session" in front of an international jury of industry experts, attendees, and media.

The innovative test solution encompasses a high automation level (including the device test application) during execution of NFC Forum digital test cases. Until now, many testing steps were necessary to perform the requirements of the NFC Forum compliance program. The new solution uses a central software unit that exchanges bi-directional data with the DTA running on the implementation under test, configuring the test scenarios and potentially exchange debug information. This allows to create automated test plans in an instant and to simplify the testing procedure.

Hajo Sandschneider, Head of Product Unit NFC and Interoperability, states: “We are very proud of winning this prize. Automation wins more and more importance as it shortens the overall test execution time and cuts down lab expenses. At the same time, it is less error prone by far. Hence, better quality of test results can be generated in less time. Experts and engineers are not needed anymore to run the tests but can focus their work on analysing critical issues or prepare reports for customers or the management.”
