GCF WI-509-NR Activated by Validation of COMPRION 5G NR USAT Tests on TP227

COMPRION activates WI-509-NR USAT at the GCF Combined Agreement Group #67 meeting, July 20-23, 2021. Test Platform Approval Criteria (TPAC) for WI-509-NR was reached thanks to the validation of priority 1 test cases on TP227 in collaboration with partner Rohde & Schwarz.

The Global Certification Forum (GCF) has accepted the latest initial validations of COMPRION's TP227 5G NR USAT tests for WI-509-NR "USAT Interworking with 5G". Together with the prior GCF approval for WI-508-NR "USIM Interworking with 5G", this makes COMPRION the first and only platform vendor in the world to offer a GCF-approved test platform for fully automated testing of GCF 5G USIM/USAT work items WI-508-NR and WI-509-NR.

COMPRION's solution, listed at GCF and PTCRB as Test Platform 227, is being developed in close collaboration with test equipment provider and long-standing partner Rohde & Schwarz (R&S). TP227 consists of COMPRION's UT³ Platform card simulator and the R&S CMX500 5G radio communication tester from R&S.

The card simulator UT³ Platform, on which COMPRION’s Device Test Center software is executed, is the reliable solution to verify and document that the DUT (Device Under Test) has met the acceptance criteria. USIM/USAT test specifications, defined by 3GPP require an explicit verification of the behavior of the DUT on the card interface.
