COMPRION significantly involved in release of eUICC Profile Package Test Specification v2.0
In July, the SIMalliance has published the new eUICC Profile Package Test Specification v2.0 promoting greater interoperability for remote SIM provisioning and subscription management. COMPRION, leading the eUICC test subworking group since February 2016, has significantly contributed to the quick implementation of the new test specification.
Test specification v2.0 is an update to test specification v1.0. The main goal was to align the test specification to the core specification v2.0, and thus, to provide globally standardized testing products. It also included the definition of some new test cases as well as editorial updates. In a press release published on its website, SIMalliance explains “The test specification v2.0 reassures eUICC manufacturers and mobile network operators that their subscription profiles will be correctly interpreted and implemented by the eUICCs they are provisioned to. Device manufacturers who integrate eUICCs into their solution will also benefit from the certainty that they are using compliant products.”
