COMPRION’s field tester TraceCase now has an EMV Payment Translator that can interpret application-specific payment commands and thus enables even better and faster analysis of payment transactions
TraceCase is a small and handy field tester for quickly detecting and analyzing error sources in contactless payment transactions. TraceCase is used by manufacturers of payment systems, contactless cards and smartphones as well as acquirers and payment service providers. “The new EMV Translator now allows for an even more user-friendly and more exact problem analysis on application level,“ explains Dr. Michael Jahnich, Director Contactless Test Solutions at COMPRION. Payment transactions work with clearly-defined commands, which are exchanged between the paying and the accepting party. The EMV Translator translates the exchanged bits and bytes in human-readable payment terms.
