Device user interaction flow

This page shows sequences of screen-shots from different devices which have been taken along the process to download and activate an eSIM test profile. When trying to re-produce with an own device, the flow and the screen may vary slightly due to different versions of the device (e.g. country variations).

  • Device has been successfully tested with profiles provisioned as Operational as well as Test. However it seems that there are variations which can only deal with Operational profiles.
  • In some trials we entered into errors which seem to be related to a device not being in a clean state. Re-setting the device and doing a full memory reset solved the problem.
  • When you set-up a SAMSUNG Account on the device (e.g. as part of the installation wizard), while you are using a test profile, also the Find-My-Phone service becomes set-up. This service makes uses of the MCC/MNC of the profile (or the IMSI). This Find-My-Phone service cannot be set-up with the usual test values (001/01) and will through an error. A workaround is to not ser-up the SAMSUNG Account or to do this while no Test eSIM profile is present on the device (... and to download/activate the profile only afterwards).
