GSMA NFC Handset Test Book

Co-operation between mobile network operators, device vendors and the test industry has resulted in test standards for NFC use cases in order to find common ground for the different stakeholders. The results of this work, driven by the GSMA, are specified in the GSMA TS.27 NFC Handset Test Book. This test specification considers all components of secured and non-secured NFC use cases such as mobile payment, ticketing, and access control, which are necessary for the setup, download, launch, and maintenance of mobile applications:

  • Contactless NFC communication
  • SWP/HCI communication between the NFC controller (CLF) and the Secure Element (SE)
  • Application programming interface and access control between the mobile device and the Secure Element (SE)
  • Complete OTA communication chain between the Trusted Service Manager (TSM) and the Secure Element

Because the GSMA TS.27 NFC Handset Test Book is a collection of test cases that verify mobile devices supporting UICC-based NFC services, we at COMPRION are in an excellent position to offer the matching solutions. Consequently, we can provide the highest number of test cases for NFC-related work items. We cover one hundred percent of the tests identified as first priority by GCF. That means that companies that want to be fully compliant with the GSMA NFC Handset Test Book can only rely on COMPRION!
