For LTE-M and NB-IoT compliance the setup requires R&S®CMW500 Wideband Radio Communication Tester and the UT³ Platform. Together, they are approved at GCF and PTCRB as Test Platform TP150. To gain market access you need to prove conformance by GCF and PTCRB certification, therefore you need an approved test platform.

Alternatively your are able to run those test cases on non-validated hardware. Thus, SIMfony CMW 500 is also available with Prove 2 in a less costly variant. Since pre-conformance testing reduces the risk to fail the approval test, it lowers the cost and length for the test sessions in a recognized test lab significantly.
