As contactless payments expand to a variety of devices—such as smartphones, wearables, and cards—certifying payment terminals has become more complex. EMVCo standards address challenges like signal handling, load modulation, and security, while new antenna designs and frequency management further complicate testing.

COMPRION offers a comprehensive EMVCo PCD L1 test solution for payment terminals, covering both digital and analog requirements. The PCD Digital solution is fully qualified for EMVCo 3.2a, ensuring compliance with rigorous EMV® standards. COMPRION also provides a fully developed a PCD Analog solution aligned with EMVCo 3.2a, with qualification starting in January 2025.

The solution leverages the UT³ Platform, integrates the new CL Wave hardware for advanced features like IQ modulation, and utilizes a Kawasaki industrial robot for quick and precise positioning during automated testing. For pre-conformance testing, COMPRION offers a cost-effective solution to prepare devices for certification, using CL Verify A hardware and the Dobot MG400 robot for analog tests.

In addition to EMVCo PCD testing, our platform supports a range of standards, including EMVCo PICC, NFC Forum, and GCF/PTCRB certification, enabling manufacturers and test labs to test various applications with a single setup.

Device Test Center

COMPRION's test plan management software simplifies testing with powerful tools: configure and manage device parameters effortlessly, generate automated test plans in one click, and customize test cases to meet your specific requirements. Efficiently create, duplicate, delete, export, or import extensive test plans and results. View verdicts per test case, jump to detailed results, and monitor recorded data across layers for precise troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting with Analog Scope

The Analog Scope function is an additional feature for analyzing and troubleshooting signaling errors. It records and visualizes analog data, providing quick measurements of waveform characteristics with a single mouse click. Additionally, the Analog Scope Viewer allows evaluation of measurement results, including time intervals, to aid troubleshooting and assess IUT performance. Independent of test case execution, it can be used for discrete monitoring sessions. With predefined quick measurements, you gain valuable information on waveform characteristics and receive detailed comments explaining test failures.

Propietary antennas

Our EMVCo Test Solutions feature sophisticated antennas developed in-house to meet the latest EMVCo requirements. Whether paired with the CL Verify A or UT³ Platform, these antennas enable accurate testing of parameters such as IQ modulation and power transfer. By providing hardware, software, and antennas in a unified package, we ensure seamless testing and efficient monitoring.
