At the meeting of the GCF Combined Agreement Group #64, held from October 13 - 15, 2020, WI-508 "USIM Interworking with 5G" was activated. This was achieved thanks to newly validated test cases on the COMPRION TP226 test platform.

Global Certification Forum (GCF) & PTCRB accepted the latest validations of COMPRION's 5G NR USIM tests for WI-508 and PTCRB RFT 508. This makes COMPRION’s TP226 the first and only platform worldwide to offer a fully automated test solution for the now activated GCF WI-508.

The COMPRION solution is listed at the Global Certification Forum and PTCRB as Test Platform 226 and has been developed in close cooperation with long-time partner Anritsu, the renowned provider of test and measurement equipment. TP226 consists of COMPRION’s UT³ Platform card simulator and the Anritsu MT8000A network simulator.

The UT³ Platform card simulator, on which COMPRION’s Device Test Center software is executed, is the reliable solution to verify and document that the device under test (DUT) has met the acceptance criteria. USIM/USAT test specifications, defined by 3GPP, require an explicit verification of the behavior of the DUT on the card interface.
