At the GCF Combined Agreement Group #67 meeting, held July 20-23, 2021, WI-509-NR USAT was activated. This was achieved thanks to the validation of all priority 1 test cases on the COMPRION test platform TP226.
The Global Certification Forum (GCF) has accepted the latest initial validations of COMPRION's 5G NR USAT tests for WI-509-NR “USAT Interworking with 5G”. After having already activated the GCF WI-509-NR “USIM Interworking with 5G”, this makes COMPRION the first and only platform vendor worldwide to offer a GCF approved test platform for fully automated testing of GCF 5G USIM/USAT work items WI-508-NR and WI-509-NR.
The COMPRION solution, developed in cooperation with test and measurement equipment supplier and long-time partner Anritsu, is listed at the Global Certification Forum and PTCRB as test platform 226. TP226 consists of COMPRION's card simulator UT³ Platform and the network simulator Anritsu MT8000A.
The card simulator UT³ Platform, on which COMPRION’s Device Test Center software is executed, is the reliable solution to verify and document that the DUT (Device Under Test) has met the acceptance criteria. USIM/USAT test specifications, defined by 3GPP require an explicit verification of the behavior of the DUT on the card interface.
“Thanks to the joint expertise and partnership between Anritsu in network simulation and COMPRION in card interface related testing, we have once again demonstrated our leadership in solutions for 5G USIM/USAT testing. The Anritsu MT8000A integrates perfectly with the SIMfony 5G system.” says COMPRION’s Product Manager Udo Willenbrink about the solution.
Anritsu’s Marketing Director Kevin Ingrams adds:”ANRITSU is delighted that through its long term collaboration with COMPRION, activation of GCF WI-509-NR has been achieved by COMPRION on its SIMfony MT8000A system, demonstrating COMPRION’S continued market leadership in 5G NR USIM/USAT conformance testing.”
