COMPRION is pleased to announce that its 5G conformance test system SIMfony CMX500 is now providing RedCap tests. The tests are carried out using the UT³ Platform conformance test system in combination with the Rohde & Schwarz CMX500 one-box signaling tester.
GCF/PTCRB RedCap tests for USIM/USAT testing are based on the global standards 3GPP TS 31.121 and 3GPP TS 31.124. They allow chipset manufacturers, IoT device producers, test laboratories, and mobile network operators (MNOs) to thoroughly verify the functionality and compliance of 5G RedCap devices such as smart wearables, surveillance systems, industrial sensors, and smart grid equipment.
Udo Willenbrink, Product Manager for Mobile Device Test Solutions, emphasizes: “With the introduction of RedCap testing on the Rohde & Schwarz CMX500 OBT, we are enhancing our customers' ability to ensure the reliability and performance of their 5G RedCap devices. We are proud to deliver a solution that meets the highest standards of quality, enabling our customers to stay ahead in the evolving 5G landscape.”
