COMPRION at CCC Plugfest #18: Advancing Digital Key Testing Together

From June 8–12, 2026, COMPRION participated in CCC Plugfest #18 at DEKRA Lausitzring. Organized by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), the event brought together 52 participants from fifteen member companies to advance interoperability and testing of CCC Digital Key™ implementations.

Throughout the week, OEMs, device manufacturers, test laboratories, and technology providers collaborated on interoperability testing, certification preparation, and validation of new test cases for current and future Digital Key versions.

For COMPRION, the event provided valuable opportunities to exchange experiences with industry experts, validate test solutions, and gather direct feedback from users.

Key takeaways from CCC Plugfest #18:

  • Certification is gaining momentum. The growing importance of certification through plugfests is becoming a key driver for participation.

  • Version 4 is becoming the focus. Many teams are now actively preparing for CCC Digital Key™ Version 4 certification and are looking to expand their testing activities accordingly.

  • NFC testing remains highly relevant. Participants particularly appreciated the simplified workflows introduced with COMPRION's Digital Key Test Solution for NFC Version 1.1, confirming the continued importance of efficient NFC testing.

  • Nothing replaces hands-on collaboration. Working together around a real test setup sparked discussions, ideas, and problem-solving that are difficult to achieve in virtual meetings.

  • Plugfests accelerate progress. For organizations starting with CCC testing, a plugfest remains one of the fastest ways to gain practical experience and connect with experts across the ecosystem.

CCC Plugfest #18 once again demonstrated how valuable direct collaboration is for turning specifications into interoperable products. As the industry moves toward broader deployment and certification of Digital Key solutions, events like these play an important role in bringing the ecosystem together and moving innovation forward.
