COMPRION is introducing new GSMA SGP.23-2 device tests for validating MEP (Multiple Enabled Profiles) functionality. These test cases support device manufacturers in early verification and implementation of the latest requirements from the GSMA Consumer Device Core Specification SGP.22 Phase 3 and the corresponding test specification GSMA SGP.23-2.

COMPRION had already released the Stage 1 LPA tests in October 2025. With the now-available Stage 2 MEP tests, the company expands its portfolio with test cases addressing the new parallel profile activation—a key technical milestone in SGP.22 V3.

MEP: Parallel Use of Multiple eSIM Profiles

The enhanced GSMA specification enables multiple eSIM profiles to be activated and used simultaneously. This opens up new possibilities for users, such as being reachable in parallel via private and business numbers. As a result, the requirements for the device and its LPA components increase accordingly.

Fast Delivery Supports Early Certification Processes

By quickly implementing the SGP.23-2 MEP tests, COMPRION enables manufacturers to begin developing toward GCF and PTRB conformity at an early stage. The rapid availability of these tests provides planning reliability and shortens necessary validation cycles—an advantage in a market defined by short time-to-market windows.

Validation Requires Access to Suitable Devices

A key industry challenge remains access to appropriate devices to validate the new tests for GCF and PTRCB. COMPRION is working closely with partners to address this. As soon as suitable devices become available, the validation process can begin.
