With the new Device Test Center Release R6.3, COMPRION offers the new test bench GSMA TS.27 Remote Management Stage 1 referring to the GSMA TS.27 NFC Handset Test Book Section 12.4 “Remote Management Use Cases”. It contains three GCF WI-197 relevant test cases for OTA data loading which are mandatory for device certification against GCF certification criteria.
The NFC Handset Test Book is a collection of test cases verifying that a cell phone supports UICC-based NFC services. Remote management of NFC services enables mobile network operators to activate and install new NFC services on already activated UICCs. If the remote management mechanisms are not implemented correctly, UICC applications cannot be installed or updated. The new test bench enables testing of the selected use cases for NFC services in an environment where data transfer is taking place.
The release of this test bench is a significant step towards the completion of GSMA TS.27 Section 12 test cases. It can be used by chip(set) and terminal manufacturers, M2M module vendors, MNOs, network infrastructure providers, test houses, test service providers, as well as UICC and card vendors who want to test the product compliancy according to GCF or the GSMA NFC Handset Test Book requirements.
The test bench is immediately available. For running the test bench, the user needs the COMPRION SIMfony MD8475A test solution consisting of a COMPRION UICC simulator – either UT³ Platform for conformance testing or Prove 2 for pre-conformance testing – and the Anritsu MD8475A network simulator.
