COMPRION contactless monitoring tools now support the new access technology Aliro. With the new Aliro Translator, Aliro communication can be made visible and efficiently analyzed.
What is Aliro?
Aliro is a new standard for mobile access solutions that enables doors to be opened using a smartphone – both in private and professional settings. The technology is driven by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). The Smart Lock Standard Aliro 1.0 was officially finalized and released by the CSA at the end of February 2026.
Aliro is based, among other things, on NFC as its communication layer, while the application layer defines secure certificate-based mechanisms for access control.
Which tools support the Aliro Translator?
The Aliro Translator is available for the following contactless monitoring tools:
- CL Verify A (hardware) with the Interoperability Test Center (software)
- TraceCase (hardware) including app and viewer (software)
The monitoring setup enables detailed analysis of communication between a contactless reader and a smartphone running an Aliro application. Using an antenna, the NFC communication is captured and visualized by the software via the Translator.
In addition, Aliro Translator support is also available in COMPRION MoVie, the free stand-alone viewer for log files recorded with COMPRION test tools. This allows users to analyze Aliro communication even without access to the original test system.

Access system providers as well as chip and device manufacturers benefit from the new Aliro Translator – both during development-phase monitoring and during field testing after deployment.
The Translator not only makes implementation errors visible at an early stage. It also helps identify and trace issues in real-world installations.

Translators are a key component of modern trace tools. They convert complex binary data into readable information and significantly speed up analysis.
Monitoring allows analysis of command sequences and thus validation of correct behavior according to the specification.
