Ready for the Future of eSIM Technology: COMPRION Updates eSIM Tools

With the latest updates to COMPRION Network Bridge (R1.8.1) and eUICC Profile Manager (R4.2), the company is responding to growing demands in the eSIM market. These updates implement the latest GSMA specifications – including the new IoT specification SGP.32 V1.2.

eSIM Technology Is Evolving – COMPRION Delivers the Right Tools

As eSIMs gain wider adoption, comprehensive testing and efficient profile management are more important than ever. At the same time, the number of eSIM-enabled devices is increasing, thanks to new GlobalPlatform qualification options for eUICCs.
COMPRION provides flexible, real-world testing tools that allow reliable end-to-end testing and profile management even before products hit the market.

COMPRION Network Bridge R1.8.1 – Now with SGP.32 Support for IoT

The COMPRION Network Bridge simulates a complete mobile ecosystem – including device, network, and backend. This enables extensive testing of eSIM communication without needing physical devices or live networks.

The main focus of the new release R1.8.1 is the IoT Profile Assistant (IPA). With the IPA, the COMPRION Network Bridge can replace actual devices in the GSMA eSIM IoT ecosystem, for example by executing defined profile management operations.

The new version of the IPA add-on now supports the latest GSMA specification SGP.32 V1.2 for IoT eSIMs. In addition, the following local functionalities are now supported:

  • Triggering profile downloads via default SM-DP+ or SM-DS
  • Configuring “Immediate Profile Enabling”

These updates make it possible to realistically simulate modern remote SIM management scenarios for IoT devices – all within a lab environment and without relying on real mobile networks.

eUICC Profile Manager R4.2 – More Control for Consumer and IoT Use Cases

The eUICC Profile Manager is the central tool for managing eSIM profiles – including loading, activating, or deleting profiles in test environments.

The latest version R4.2 offers expanded support for current GSMA specifications – for both consumer and IoT architectures:

  • For Consumer Device Loader: Support for GSMA SGP.22 V3.1
  • For IoT Loader: Support for GSMA SGP.32 V1.2

Conclusion: Ready for the Next Step in eSIM Testing

With these new releases of the COMPRION Network Bridge and eUICC Profile Manager, developers, manufacturers, and mobile operators get hands-on, standards-compliant tools for early and comprehensive eSIM testing – without the need for physical hardware or network environments. Support for the latest GSMA specifications – like SGP.32 V1.2 for IoT and SGP.22 V3.1 for Consumer – ensures these tools are future-ready for use across both sectors.
