How NOS Enabled eSIM Profile Validation with the COMPRION eSIM Tracer
eSIMs are now an everyday reality: smartphones, wearables, and IoT devices increasingly rely on these embedded chips. But with eSIMs come new challenges—particularly when it comes to profile validation and security in 5G networks.
The Challenge
Unlike traditional SIM cards, eSIMs offer no physical access for analysis. For mobile network operators (MNOs), this means no visibility into the communication between the eUICC and the device—precisely where critical security functions like SUCI calculation take place.
The Solution
Portuguese telecommunications provider NOS, a pioneer in 5G and eSIM technologies, turned to the COMPRION eSIM Tracer. For the first time, the company was able to track exactly where critical processes occur. From verifying SUCI calculations to gaining deeper insights into the eSIM lifecycle and validating OTA commands, the eSIM Tracer provides a completely new view of these complex operations.
