eSIM Tracer Now Supports MEP and Samsung Exynos Chipsets

COMPRION announces the release of eSIM Tracer Release R1.1 – a significant update to the powerful diagnostic tool that visualizes real-time communication between eSIM and mobile module. The new version not only supports the current GSMA Specification SGP.22 Version 3 with the “Multiple Enabled Profiles” (MEP) feature but also introduces a new adaptor for Samsung Exynos chipsets, which are used in many Google phones, among others.

What is MEP?
The new GSMA Specification SGP.22 V3 introduces a major innovation with “Multiple Enabled Profiles”: for the first time, it allows several eSIM profiles to be activated simultaneously – not just one after the other as before. This enables users, for example, to be reachable in parallel via private and business numbers.

Enhanced analysis functions for developers and integrators
The eSIM Tracer R1.1 enables detailed analysis of the communication of these parallel profiles. Individual APDUs can be precisely assigned to the eSIM port [or Logical Secure Element (LSE) according to ETSI TS 102 221]. This allows developers, for example, to verify whether a profile download was performed correctly – a decisive advantage for troubleshooting complex eSIM processes.
The support for MEP is adaptor-dependent and is currently available only with the new Samsung Exynos adaptor.

New adaptor for Samsung Exynos – now supporting even more devices
With R1.1, a new APDU tracing adaptor for Samsung Exynos chipsets is also introduced. These are used in numerous smartphones, including many models of the Google Pixel series. This significantly expands the device compatibility of the eSIM Tracer.

Conclusion
With these enhancements, COMPRION sets another milestone in the development of practical test and diagnostic tools for eSIM technology – providing manufacturers and network operators with an even more precise foundation for quality assurance and error analysis.
